Masood Akhtar is a Pakistani visual artist and educator who lives and works in Lahore. His teaching career spans Assistant Professor of Painting at Multan College of Arts, Bahauddin Zakariya University (2004–Dec 2023), Professionally he contributed to relief sculptures on the Pakistan Monument. Akhtar has exhibited extensively in national and international shows, including the All Pakistan Calligraphic Painting Competition, First Asian Biennale of Book Illustration for Children (Tehran, Iran), Punjab Exhibition of Painting, Fresh Vision (National Art Gallery, Islamabad), Jawan Mussawer (Al-Hamra, Lahore), National Exhibitions by Artists Association of Punjab (2014, 2023), Chromatic Symphony (Oceans Art Gallery, Lahore, Feb 2024), "Crows, Dogs and the Rest" (curated by Rakhshanda Attwar), Kashmir: As I See (Australia, 2019), IVAE2020 (Malaysia), and various group shows in Lahore, Multan, Islamabad, and beyond. His works are in collections such as the Malcolm Forbes Museum (USA), Embassy of Pakistan in Baku (Azerbaijan), Vice Chancellor's Office and Convocation Hall at B.Z. University Multan.
